Job Summary
Tax Manager, Customs & International Trade to advise clients on import/export matters, identify trade opportunities, and support tax savings strategies. Role involves marketing, networking, and business development within the area of specialization; research and apply Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs regulations, NAFTA, and related trade policies; collaborate with firm specialists on client proposals and training; supervise associates and interns; and build client relationships. Requires client-service focus, strong communication and analytical abilities, and proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RIA, LexisNexis, and BNA; Bachelor’s degree is required with 5+ years in import/export trade consulting; CPA JD or MBA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- Five (5) or more years of experience in import/export trade consulting required
- CPA and/or JD, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, LexisNexis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills and tax research skills
- Organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team
- Ability to mentor staff
