Job Summary
Manage client tax engagements from budgeting to final review, serving as the primary point of contact for billing, collection, and relationship oversight. Lead and develop direct reports through detailed work analysis, performance monitoring, and workload scheduling to drive operational efficiency. Contribute to strategic departmental planning, business development for new client acquisition, and legislative monitoring of tax law developments. Sign complex tax returns for various entity types and lead specialized areas of focus while serving on tax committees. Complete assigned special projects and maintain a high standard of ethical and technical leadership across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA or Enrollment Agent (EA) certification
- minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
- Experience conceptualizing, developing, and monitoring the work flow for tax preparation
- Strong working knowledge of tax law and other professional standards/regulations
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, high wealth individuals, consolidated, or multi-state returns and nonprofits
