Job Summary
Manage client tax engagements from budgeting to final review, serving as the primary point of contact for billing, collection, and return signing. Lead and mentor direct reports by providing detailed work analysis, monitoring performance metrics, and scheduling workloads to ensure operational efficiency and profitability. Contribute to strategic departmental planning, engage in business development for new clients, and monitor legislative developments to guide the business climate. Sign tax returns and complete special projects as assigned while acting as a CPA integral to the management team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA or Enrollment Agent (EA) certification
- minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
- Experience conceptualizing, developing, and monitoring the work flow for tax preparation
- Strong working knowledge of tax law and other professional standards/regulations
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, high wealth individuals, consolidated, or multi-state returns and nonprofits
