Tax Manager - Corporate ASC 740 provision and compliance

Job Summary
Manage all phases of tax compliance for assigned clients across various industries, including complex federal and state income tax returns with multi-state and foreign operations. Prepare and review GAAP (ASC 740) income tax provisions and supporting documentation for worldwide provision, while effectively supervising the engagement team. Review staff and senior work to ensure objectives are achieved, providing timely feedback and mentoring as appropriate. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple engagements to successful completion, generate proposal opportunities, and meet client expectations while adhering to strict deadlines. Requires five or more years of taxation experience with a CPA certificate and a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of tax compliance and planning at both the federal and state level
- Manages complex federal/state income tax returns with multi-state and foreign operations
- Prepares and reviews GAAP (ASC 740) income tax provisions and supporting documentation for worldwide provision
- Effectively supervise activities of the engagement team
- Reviews staff and senior work timely and thoroughly to ensure that objectives are achieved
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple engagements to a successful and efficient completion
- Generates, pursues, and assists in closing proposal opportunities with existing and/or potential clients
- Highly responsive to the client's needs and requests
- Manages the client's expectations and the day-to-day client relationship
- Meets time deadlines while also meeting or exceeding quality requirements
- Motivates staff through their professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
- Five or more years of experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
- Masters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses
- CPA certificate required
