Job Summary
Conduct top-level reviews of tax returns, resolve client tax issues, and provide timely written tax advice while minimizing reporting burdens. Manage client relationships, oversee engagement budgets, and ensure compliance with Firm policies and the Tax Quality Manual. Supervise associates and senior associates on all projects, review their work, provide performance feedback, and train staff on tax research tools. Develop and implement strategies to reduce client tax liabilities and leverage specialized expertise in areas such as transfer pricing or international taxation. Act as the primary client contact for complex tax matters and communicate risks and policy changes to Assurance counterparts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Five (5) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA)
Desired Qualifications

- Masters in Accountancy or Taxation
- Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively delegate work as needed
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills
- Capacity to work well in a team environment
- Capable of developing and managing a team of tax professionals
- Ability to compose written tax advice
- Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships
- Executive presence and ability to act as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions to clients
