Job Summary
Prepare, review, and sign tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businesses while creating quarterly estimates and projections. Deliver income tax analysis and research to clients and wealth management advisors, responding promptly to tax questions and notices. Stay current on tax law changes and communicate their effects to clients. Mentor Senior Tax Associates, Tax Associates, and Tax Support Specialists in the local office or region as assigned. Perform tax compliance services in conjunction with wealth advisors without audits or assurance work. Requires 5+ years of public accounting experience, CPA or EA, and proficiency with CCH. Hybrid schedule in Columbus, OH or Northeast, US.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong tax code knowledge and general accounting skills
- CPA and/or EA required
- Highly organized and tax-oriented
- Ability to handle a large volume of activities at one time
- Ability to communicate concepts to clients and advisors in concise and understandable fashion
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent time-management skills
- Location: This is a hybrid role with a strong preference for candidates in Columbus, OH or Northeast, US
- Work Schedule: This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM, and Saturdays as needed during tax season
- At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Tax a plus
- Experience with CCH, including Axcess, Workflow and Practice, and SafeSend, a plus
