Job Summary
Lead U.S. tax compliance, planning, and transaction-related tax activities while serving as the primary tax point of contact for U.S. leadership and Korea HQ. Provide expertise in U.S. federal and state taxation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, and cross-border transactions involving Brazil and Korea. Coordinate external tax advisors, oversee ASC 740 processes, and manage federal, state, and local tax reporting. Support M&A due diligence, transaction structuring, and integration planning while advising management on transfer pricing, withholding tax, and strategic tax initiatives. Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop internal tax policies and controls.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation
- Experience with M&A transactions, tax due diligence, and Joint Ventures
- Knowledge of international tax and transfer pricing
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Business proficiency in English and Korean
- Experience in multinational organizations
- Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience
- Occasional domestic and international travel
Desired Qualifications
- CPA preferred but not required
- Experience supporting multinational operations, M&A, and JV structures
