Job Summary
Ensure tax compliance by managing group relief systems, recording corporate income tax, and preparing statutory reports. Plan and execute tax strategies for M&A, fundraising, and intra-group reorganizations while responding to business inquiries and tax audits. Strengthen tax governance by establishing frameworks, sharing case studies, and formulating strategies for tax law revisions. Collaborate with external advisors and internal departments to improve efficiency through AI and cross-group policy development. Report directly to management and contribute to the entire Rakuten Group through policy engagement and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in corporate tax and other tax-related work at a tax accounting firm, accounting firm, or business corporation
- Practical experience with the group tax consolidation system and tax effect accounting
- TOEIC score of 800 or higher (or proof of equivalent English proficiency, or proof of a bachelor's degree or higher from a university in an English-speaking country)
