Job Summary
Lead the Partnership's tax function by shaping strategy, managing risk, and directing a team of nine across corporate, indirect, and employment tax. Serve as the primary liaison with HMRC, overseeing compliance returns, statutory accounts, and routine audits while ensuring accurate tax filings. Develop and implement tax policies, manage the tax budget, and drive value through technology adoption and process optimization. Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the CFO and Legal, to integrate tax requirements into business initiatives and lead the annual Senior Accounting Officer process. Review legislative changes, communicate policies to the business, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- CTA qualified
- ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive in-house or practice tax experience
- Deep tax knowledge with a strong bias/specialism toward Indirect Tax / VAT
- Experience operating within complex, fast-paced retail or consumer-facing environments at scale
- Proven track record of team management
- Challenging the status quo

- Pre-employment vetting (which may include DBS checks)
