Tax Health Check Specialist

Tax Health Check Specialist will serve as a bridge between Toast’s tax operations team and customers onboarding to the Toast Payroll platform. Responsibilities include conducting customer-facing meetings to review and collect missing tax registration information, guiding customers through state tax account registrations, following up to obtain outstanding documentation, maintaining accurate records of customer status, coordinating with Tax Filing/Tax Amendment/Onboarding teammates to communicate readiness and blockers, supporting broader Tax Operations processes (amendments, audits, case documentation), and escalating complex issues with clear context. Requires 1–2 years in a customer-facing/operational role, strong written and verbal communication, highly organized with excellent follow-through, ability to manage a queue independently, basic familiarity with payroll taxes or willingness to learn, and detail-oriented accuracy to ensure correct tax filings. Prior Salesforce or CRM experience and familiarity with state tax portals or payroll platforms are a plus.
