Job Summary
Provide full-service tax return preparation, expert advice, and software support for in-person and virtual customers, handling everything from simple W-2 filings to complex business scenarios and amendments. Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions and maximize refunds while acting as the connective tissue between clients and specialists in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning. Act as a proactive community ambassador by driving local growth through targeted outreach, organizing financial literacy workshops, and converting prospects into loyal, long-term clients. Deliver a best-in-class customer experience by building trust and demonstrating empathy to help individuals navigate life events and achieve their financial goals.
Required Qualifications
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Proficiency with professional tax preparation software
- Familiarity with Circular 230
- Willingness to wear Intuit provided uniforms
- Willingness to use name and picture for advertising on Google
- Willingness to complete all required training and development
- Must reside within the United States
- Possession or ability to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location
- Availability between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday
- Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Willingness to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas
- Willingness to engage with and build Intuit's presence in the local community
- Willingness to create accessible tax-related content and resources for the community
- Willingness to speak at events
- Willingness to build a local and online social presence
- Willingness to create content such as tax tips and educational videos
- Willingness to be showcased as a TurboTax - Local Service Expert in local and national marketing efforts
Desired Qualifications
- EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
- Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
- Passion for empowering customers and helping them overcome the complexities of taxation
- Passion for the local community
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset with a business ownership approach
- Exceptional customer service skills
