Job Summary

Manage the daily running of HM Revenue & Customs enquiries and voluntary disclosures for a portfolio of clients, preparing investigation and disclosure reports including all computational aspects for submission to HMRC Specialist Investigations. Liaise directly with clients, contacts, and other parties to ensure work is completed according to desired timescales, while preparing agendas for meetings with clients and/or HMRC and following up on all points. Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives by identifying sales opportunities and acting as an ambassador for the firm at professional events. Recruit, retain, and develop junior employees, manage billing and collection for each client, and participate in the negotiation of settlements by providing technical arguments to partners.

Required Qualifications

  • CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or overseas equivalent)
  • Relevant work experience within HM Revenue & Customs
  • Demonstrable post qualified experience across all aspects of tax dispute resolution
  • Strong experience of HMRC enquiries and voluntary disclosures
  • Report writing and tax computational experience
  • Excellent client relationship, project management and business management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous people management experience with the ability to develop team members
  • Highly collaborative and a team player
