Job Summary
Senior tax professional sought to lead tax filings and advisory for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts within a growing public accounting firm. Responsibilities include managing complex tax filings, providing proactive planning and advisory services, leading transactional work (sales, acquisitions, reorganizations, due diligence, structuring), maintaining and expanding client relationships, conducting in-depth tax research across federal, state, and local levels, mentoring junior and mid-level staff, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting business development through proposals and client presentations. Requires CPA, JD, or LLM; Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Master’s in Taxation preferred; 10+ years in public accounting; strong tax software proficiency; deep tax compliance, planning, and advisory expertise; ability to manage deadlines and client expectations; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- CPA, JD, or LLM required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in public accounting
- Familiarity with tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax) and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Deep expertise in tax compliance, planning, and advisory for both individuals and business entities
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, client-service-focused environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and mentor staff
