Job Summary
Direct the strategic vision and execution of the firm’s tax function for complex client portfolios (high-net-worth individuals, family offices, multi-entity groups, and cross-border operations). Oversee the quality and delivery of the most complex engagements from planning through compliance, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with client objectives. Serve as a technical authority on advanced tax strategies including M&A structuring, estate planning, and business succession; develop engagement strategies with internal specialists and external advisors; stay ahead of evolving tax legislation and distill complex topics into actionable guidance for clients and internal stakeholders. Promote continuous improvement of tax processes, internal controls, and documentation to scale the function; manage and develop senior managers and managers; cultivate deep client relationships and contribute to business development and cross-functional opportunities; participate in firm trainings and knowledge leadership; maintain commitment to exceptional client service and leadership. This role requires full-time commitment with flexibility to meet team deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- CPA license or eligible
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 10+ years of experience in tax preparation
- expert-level command of U.S. tax law across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
- leadership experience in managing and scaling teams
