Job Summary
Technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations; acts as a subject-matter expert in tax discipline, leads client service and planning efforts, delegates to tax preparers, participates in meetings with clients, communicates tax developments, oversees governmental examinations, ensures accurate billing, stays current with tax developments, participates in firm practice development, and performs occasionally travel with overtime workload (January–April). Requires CPA license, 7–10 years in public accounting, and leadership experience; hybrid in-office option available. Occasional travel to client sites and seminars; PST time zone preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Seven to ten years' experience in public accounting
- At least two years' experience representing clients before taxing authorities
- Minimum one year experience supervising and directing work of tax preparers
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Master’s degree in taxation preferred
- Certified public accountant license
- Active membership in good standing with American Institute of CPAs
- Forty hours of continuing education per year
