Job Summary
Tax Director responsible for leading complex tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, and S- and C-corporations; perform technical review of engagement work papers and tax returns; provide tax consultation on business/personal transactions; manage workflows, budgets, staffing, and deadlines; lead business development opportunities; stay current with tax law changes; train and mentor junior to mid-level staff; and develop staff while maintaining client relations and ensuring engagement economics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
- Qualified to practice before the IRS (i.e, JD, CPA, or EA)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members
