Job Summary
Tax Attorney role focusing on tax controversy matters, representing clients before IRS and state taxing authorities, negotiating offers in compromise and installment agreements, handling audits/appeals/levies, and providing tax compliance and planning guidance. Will draft legal documents, research federal/state tax laws, and collaborate with case managers, enrolled agents, and CPAs in a 100% onsite, full-time position in Encino, CA. Requires an active bar license and 1–5+ years of tax-related experience; strong negotiation and client advocacy skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Active Bar License in good standing (any state; preference for local licensing)
- 1–5+ years of experience in tax resolution, tax controversy, or related tax law
- Strong knowledge of IRS collections, audits, and appeals processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work onsite full-time
