Job Summary
Prepare federal and state tax returns, provide personalized tax advice, and conduct discovery sessions to maximize refunds and optimize deductions. Serve as a proactive community ambassador by engaging prospects, leading local events, and building long-term client relationships through both in-person and virtual interactions. Leverage TurboTax software and marketing support to deliver accurate solutions while addressing client inquiries and overcoming tax challenges. This seasonal, nonexempt role requires onsite presence at a TurboTax location in Los Angeles, with availability from Sunday through Saturday for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Candidates must hold active EA, CPA, or attorney credentials with a PTIN.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credentials: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney
- Strong tax preparation experience
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Experience using professional tax preparation software
- Familiarity with Circular 230
- Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location
- Availability Sunday through Saturday
- Minimum of 20 hours per week
- Must reside within the United States
- Must be willing to wear a TurboTax uniform
- Must be willing to work in a front facing retail environment
