Job Summary
Entry-level US Tax Associate role in Weaver India, assisting with US Federal and State tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Responsibilities include collecting and organizing client data, preparing workpapers and documentation for filings, performing basic US tax research under supervision, using tax preparation software, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with team members to resolve data discrepancies. Role requires alignment with US firm/client time zones, with availability during late evenings and weekends in India, and flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods to coordinate with US teams. The position offers structured training and mentoring in US taxation and exposure to real-time US tax compliance engagements. Preferred qualifications include pursuing EA or CPA certification. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of US taxation concepts (academic or training exposure preferred)
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting fundamentals
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Pursuing EA or CPA certification (preferred)
