Tax Associate

Job Summary
Tax Associate responsible for preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals and various entity types; assist with federal and state compliance reporting; reconcile general ledger accounts; perform general bookkeeping tasks including payroll processing and account reconciliations; enter and verify financial data; utilize QuickBooks Online/Desktop, CCH, and Microsoft Office; maintain client files with confidentiality; support audit-related functions; strong organizational and communication skills; GAAP knowledge and understanding of tax basis accounting methods (cash and accrual); CPA track preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA track or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred but not required
- 2–4 years of professional experience in a similar tax/accounting role is preferred
- Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a plus
