Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of tax clients across personal tax and corporation tax compliance matters, reviewing returns and computations prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy. Provide support on tax advisory and planning assignments, including research, analysis, and preparation of written reports. Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, building relationships and responding to queries professionally. Assist with identifying tax planning opportunities and coach junior colleagues through regular review feedback and on-the-job guidance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation and communicate relevant changes to clients and colleagues. Support the Tax Director and Tax Manager in workflow management, prioritization of deadlines, and allocation of work across the team.
Required Qualifications
- CTA or AAT qualified, or qualified by relevant experience
- At least 5 years' experience in a tax role with exposure to tax compliance, advisory and planning work
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a strong commitment to client service
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax and corporation tax
- Experience of reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Proven ability to draft clear and accurate tax planning and advisory reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication and consultative skills
- Comfort communicating across all levels of the organization
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
- Must be an organized, technically capable and client-focused tax professional
- Must have strong review skills, sound judgement, and the confidence to support and develop more junior members of the team
- Must be comfortable working across both compliance and advisory matters
- Must be based from our London office on a full-time basis
- Must be available for hybrid working following a 4-month probation
- Must be willing to work in-office for 3+ days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with CCH and QuickBooks is highly preferred
