Job Summary
Tax Analyst at Wiley supporting the global tax function with tax compliance and the ASC 740 tax provision. Responsibilities include preparing detailed tax workpapers and schedules for quarterly and year-end provision, federal and state/local income tax compliance, book-to-tax differences and reconciliations, data gathering for filings, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and assisting with state/local tax processes and IRS/state notices. Collaborates with cross-functional finance teams to ensure accuracy in financial statements and SEC filings. Ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of US GAAP and corporate tax laws, with a desire to learn international tax concepts. Entry-level role suitable for those pursuing CPA with 1-3 years of tax experience; strong Excel and tax software skills required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
- CPA or working toward CPA
- 1-3 years of tax experience
- Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
