Job Summary
Prepare and file various state sales and use tax returns, state income tax returns, and related tax payments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Reconcile various tax balance sheet accounts, ensure all tax return workpapers are prepared to support income tax audits, and assist with tax notices and compliance-related inquiries. Support income tax provision calculations, coordinate tax payments, and collaborate with Corporate Finance and external advisors on special projects and process improvements. This entry-level Tax Analyst role reports to the Tax Manager and requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with basic federal and state taxation concepts.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance
- 0-3 years of relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry
- Basic understanding of federal and state taxation concepts through education, internship, or work experience
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Desire to learn and develop, act proactively, and respond with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
