Tax Analyst

Job Summary
Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, quarterly estimated payments, and annual extension calculations. Analyze provision-to-return adjustments and support the corporate income tax provision process under US GAAP and ASC 740. Reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger, ensure accurate tax depreciation, and investigate discrepancies. Monitor legislative changes, conduct technical tax research, and respond to income tax notices or audits. Assist with special projects, process improvements, and SOX compliance while collaborating cross-functionally with Finance and Accounting teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–5 years of relevant income tax experience
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven analytical and critical‐thinking abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet internal and external deadlines independently
- Solid understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax rules
- Solid understanding of corporate tax compliance processes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or advanced degree
- Experience with tax processes, systems, and software, such as: Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with tax processes, systems, and software, such as: Corptax (Compliance / Provision)
- Experience with tax processes, systems, and software, such as: BNA Fixed Assets
- Working knowledge of income tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740
- Familiarity with tax technology tools and interest in process enhancement
- Public accounting experience
- Large corporate tax department experience
