Job Summary
Prepare all US Sales & Use tax returns, personal property tax returns, abandoned property returns, estimated tax payments, and reporting obligations on a timely basis. Assist with Sales & Use tax audits, including timely responses to information and document requests, while supporting strategic tax initiatives. Draft technical tax research memoranda to document tax positions for areas of uncertainty and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency within the finance team. Document controls for financial reporting to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley 404 tax compliance and assist with state income tax reporting. Identify opportunities for technology solutions to streamline the sales and use tax compliance and payment process. This role reports to the Manager – US Tax within Insulet, a global medical device company focused on diabetes management through its Omnipod platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a Tax Analyst role
- Strong technology skills
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team Player attitude
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities
- Able to deliver high quality, accurate and timely work products
- Must be available for hybrid working arrangements
- Requires on-site work from an Insulet office
