Tax Analyst

Job Summary

Prepare and support federal, state, local, and international tax filings, including Forms 990, 990-T, 4720, 1120, 5471, and indirect tax reports. Collect, organize, and validate financial data while maintaining workpapers and processing payments and refund requests. Research routine tax issues, respond to authority inquiries, and provide research support to Accounting, AR, AP, and Legal stakeholders. Assist with presentations, meeting summaries, and process improvements, including automation initiatives and AI-enabled efficiencies. Support audits, disclosures, and special projects as assigned. This role offers a remote work arrangement with periodic global travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related financial, business, or legal field
  • 2-4 years of experience in federal, state, local, and/or international tax
  • Knowledge of U.S. tax reporting and general taxation principles
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • This role is eligible for a remote work arrangement
  • Periodic business travel may be required, including but not limited to, ASME offices, globally

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems and tax preparation software preferred
  • Tax research experience involving the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, rulings, and case law preferred
