Job Summary
Prepare corporate and sales tax returns, calculate instalment payments, and reconcile general ledger accounts for indirect taxes. Liaise with external advisors, act as the primary contact for tax authorities, and lead internal tax audits while analyzing variances and documenting tax positions. Provide guidance to internal teams on tax rules and support business units on tax-related matters. Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the improvement of tax processes and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
- CPA designation (completed)
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years in tax functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal in French and English, and the ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization. The position holder will be required to communicate regularly with clients, management and colleagues located outside Quebec.
