Job Summary
Tax Advisor role in Geneva within TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping tax department, focusing on gas and power topics. Responsibilities include analysis of customs and VAT legislation across Europe, Middle East, Africa; advising operations, trading and legal teams; reviewing commercial contracts from a taxes perspective; responding to questions from customs and fiscal authorities during audits; preparing and delivering internal training on customs and tax questions; participating in IT improvements to ensure VAT compliance; and preparing VAT returns across multiple countries. The role requires collaboration with internal departments and external advisors, and emphasizes strong understanding of international tax and VAT, with a Master degree and at least 3 years of experience; English is required with French as an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant Master degree, or equivalent, in law, business or economy
- A proven experience in international tax and VAT, of at least 3 years
- English required/ French an advantage
