Job Summary
Prepare Federal and State tax returns for UHNW clients and related entities, including 1040s, 1041s, 1065s, and 1120S. Design and implement sophisticated tax mitigation strategies for high-net-worth clients, including those involved in liquidity events, business sales, and complex financial transactions. Serve as the tax expert in meetings with estate attorneys, wealth managers, and internal teams to ensure alignment of financial and tax strategies. Monitor federal and state tax law changes and proactively update planning strategies. Review and improve tax returns and strategies prepared by junior team members. Mentor junior staff and help enhance technical tax knowledge across the team. Provide clear and proactive tax guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- CPA, EA, or JD with valid PTIN
- Strong experience with high-net-worth individual and entity tax preparation
- Experience preparing and reviewing 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120S tax returns
- Proven experience in proactive tax planning and tax reduction strategies
- Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
- Experience collaborating with wealth managers, attorneys, and financial professionals
- Ability to mentor and guide junior tax professionals
