Job Summary
Review and advise on sales and use tax impact for contractual agreements and jobs. Acquire applicable Texas state sales and use tax registrations and business licenses. Prepare supporting documentation for local, state, and federal level returns, including annual state pre-qualification and property tax information. Conduct research on tax matters to provide documentation to management and work with tax consultants for fair market value determinations. Communicate with job sites to gather personal property details and complete various compliance reports for federal, state, and local authorities. Assist the accounting department with tax and financial accruals and entries. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required with 1-3 years' experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years' experience in tax accounting or related area
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and in MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving and reasoning skills
