Job Summary
Lead Tax Manager responsible for overseeing multiple client engagements in estate and trust taxation, supervising staff accountants across engagements, and reviewing complex and multi-state returns (1040, 1041, 1120, 1065). Focus on financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, gifting, and IRA planning, while managing tax notices and examinations, conducting tax research, and delivering client-focused communications. Develop tax planning strategies, oversee workflow, client relationships, and provide training/mentorship to staff, with emphasis on strong technical taxation skills and building lasting client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of public accounting experience leading multiple engagements
- CPA preferred/required
- Working knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and QuickBooks
- Team player with leadership and staff development skills
- Effective communicator with problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
