Job Summary
Act as Tax Expert – Retail On-Site at a TurboTax location, serving as a proactive community ambassador and providing hands-on tax preparation, tax advice, and software support to TurboTax clients both in-person and virtually. Lead local outreach, events, and relationship-building to grow the local client base, leveraging marketing support and TurboTax tools while delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Role requires onsite presence in the United States on a seasonal basis, with a flexible 25–34 hour weekly schedule and potential for increased hours during peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with tax preparation experience and active PTIN
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50+ federal/state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Familiarity with Circular 230
- Must reside within the United States
- Availability for a flexible 25–34 hour weekly schedule including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with potential increase during peak seasons
- Proficiency with tax software and CRM tools
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
- Adaptability to evolving environments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven with a business ownership mindset
- Ability to build local and online presence and content for community engagement
