Job Summary
Prepare sales, income, and property tax returns for jurisdictions throughout the United States, analyzing transactions to determine correct tax treatment and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. Respond to and resolve jurisdictional inquiries, perform account reconciliations, and assist in audits while providing customer service to support branch operations. Participate in team trainings to develop tax technical and interpersonal skills. This contingent work assignment is based in Lenexa, KS, with a requirement of 4-6 years of experience and a degree in accounting, data analytics, or tax.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience
- Degree in accounting, data analytics, or tax (relevant experience will be considered)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Dedication to delivering a quality work product that is prepared with great accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with fellow team members and coworkers
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with sales and use tax compliance in a multistate environment
- Previous experience with income and franchise tax
- Local to Kansas City
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Alteryx, CCH-Answerconnect, OneSource RS Express, Microsoft D365, OneSource Determination or PowerBI
