Job Summary
Tasting Room Representative role in a on-site wine-tasting environment in Saint Helena, CA. Responsibilities include engaging guests with wine knowledge, presenting wines, promoting products, supporting retail displays, processing purchases, and assisting with inventory and daily tasting room operations. Requires strong customer service, hospitality, and cash-handling skills, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, and work weekends with a flexible schedule. Travel up to 5% for onboarding/training and events. On-site role with no telecommuting option. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred for advanced candidate consideration. Must be 21+ and able to work in a collaborative, guest-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate
- 2 years of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience
- Required to be 21 years of age or older
- Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds
- Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed
- Required to engage in frequent walking and standing
- Required to multi-task with focus on detail and switch gears quickly
- Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures
- Skilled in basic arithmetic (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations up to 5% of time
- This position requires living within commutable distance to Saint Helena, CA
