Job Summary
Tasting Room Attendant delivers guided wine tastings and tours, greets guests, sets up and breaks down tasting space, conducts guided or impromptu tours, maintains knowledge of rotating City Winery wines, guides guests through the tasting experience, upsells retail bottles or merchandise, handles cash transactions, and performs other duties as assigned. Requires wine service or related hospitality experience, strong interpersonal and guest-service skills, ability to work independently and in a team, a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), physical ability to stand/walk and lift up to 50 lbs, and applicable state alcohol-service licensing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in wine service or food and beverage environment or equivalent relevant experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills, with polished presentation
- Hospitable demeanor and effective communication skills
- Eager to learn about wine and winemaking process
- Applicable state licensing for safe and responsible alcohol service
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical requirements including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
