Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and compliance during temporary task force assignments. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, analyze financial performance to improve profitability and cost controls, and partner with General Managers to drive strategic initiatives. Support property transitions, leadership vacancies, acquisitions, and special projects requiring interim finance leadership while reviewing internal controls and ensuring audit compliance. Coach on-property finance teams, facilitate external audits, and prepare executive-level financial presentations. Travel extensively to provide on-site support based on business needs across the portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive hospitality finance leadership experience, including Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance, or equivalent hotel accounting leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance
- Experience leading finance teams in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Ability to assess operational and financial performance and implement effective solutions quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively and work on-site for temporary assignments as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Multi-property, regional, or corporate hospitality finance experience
- Experience with hotel accounting systems such as M3, BirchStreet, Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Blackline, or similar platforms
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification
- Previous task force, opening, conversion, transition, or turnaround experience
- Experience supporting branded or independent hotels and resorts
