Job Summary
Assist Director of Finance in directing the hotel’s financial activities, safeguarding assets, and preparing financial reports in accordance with GAAP and HEI standards. Manage Accounts Receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, tax returns, and payroll/expense controls; supervise scheduling of accounting staff (including Night Audit) and ensure staffing aligns with business needs. Prepare Designated financial statements, ensure compliance with SOPs, and contribute to asset inventories and internal controls. Travel required at least 75% of the time. Requires a BS in Accounting with experience in hotel/hospitality finance; strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; ability to analyze financial statements, perform reconciliations, and communicate effectively with leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.S. in Accounting)
- One year experience in Hotel or Hospitality related Finance and Accounting
- Knowledge of Hotel Financial Statements and reconciliation of A and L accounts
- Analytical with attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to attend travel; 75% travel indicated in essential duties
