Job Summary
Provide event support to the Athletics Department as directed by the Sports Information Director. Duties include acting as a media liaison, maintaining gym floor conditions, coordinating with referees, and managing game equipment. Perform other related tasks assigned on an as-needed basis for home games, events, and competitions. Work requires strict punctuality, face-to-face interactions on campus, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Position is temporary, fixed-term, and requires a high school diploma. Pay is $15.00 per hour for up to 15 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- No previous experience required
- Not currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the general public
- Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Strict punctuality to arrive to work promptly at the scheduled time
- Maintaining a regular schedule of attendance in the workplace
- Position requires working days, evenings, and/or weekends of home games/events
- Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions
- Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation
- Employment is contingent upon the institution's verification of credentials
- Completion of the criminal history check
