Job Summary
Task Force Maintenance Manager responsible for traveling to all hotels in the portfolio to support interim maintenance needs, maintain guest-room and public-space engineering integrity, respond to guest repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and supervise or perform a broad range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and safety tasks. Requires strong technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, ability to inspect and repair equipment, and effective communication with guests and hotel teams. Emphasizes safety practices (Lockout/Tagout) and a customer-service oriented, team-first approach.
Required Qualifications
- Travel to all hotels in the portfolio to support the maintenance effort on an interim basis
- Respond and attend to guests' repair requests
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces (including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames)
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Display above-average engineering operations skills and strong mechanical ability
- Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cleanup of repair area
- Inspect and repair grout and caulking
- Maintain pool, chemicals and pool equipment
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment and electrical components
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Adhere to safety and security policies
- Develop relationships with departments and communicate regularly
- Stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds; climb stairs/ramps; reach overhead and below knees
