Job Summary
TASC Special Education Teacher for Severe Disabilities (TASC Program) provides instruction to students on the autism spectrum in sub-separate and inclusion settings. The role involves developing and implementing discrete trial programs and behavior plans, serving as the special education liaison for a group of students, delivering standards-based, student-centered instruction, and aligning instruction with the Massachusetts frameworks. ABA is the main teaching style with a high student-to-teacher ratio, and opportunities exist for both small group and individual instruction. Candidate will demonstrate effective instructional techniques, classroom management, collaboration with families, and ongoing professional development consistent with district initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education in Severe Disabilities, All Levels
- SEI Endorsement
- Three current letters of recommendation
- Proof of MA DESE license and SEI Endorsement
- Resume, transcripts, cover letter
