Job Summary
Administer psychosocial screenings and assessments; coordinate linkage to behavioral health treatment, medical, educational, and vocational services; and provide ongoing professional care management for the justice-involved population. Collaborate with community partners, justice systems, and service providers to help individuals access recovery services. This role supports the TASC (Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities) program within Coastal Horizons Center in New Hanover County, focusing on harm reduction and wellness-based concepts for individuals navigating the justice system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a human services or related field
- Knowledge of recovery, harm reduction, and wellness-based concepts
- May have lived experience with recovery and/or the justice system
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and similar platforms
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and remote collaboration tools (i.e., Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including legal systems, healthcare providers, and social services
Desired Qualifications
- North Carolina Peer Support Specialist certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Registered with the North Carolina Addiction Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)
