Job Summary
Target Security Specialist responsible for protecting assets and guests through intelligence-led security, crisis response, and de-escalation of incidents. Duties include greeting guests, maintaining safe store standards, documenting security incidents in the case management system, conducting merchandise theft recoveries, preventing shrinkage at the front of store, using Target's video surveillance system, and adhering to AP policies. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years, ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and holidays, strong communication, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Training provided; emphasis on teamwork and safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Effective communication skills
- Work both independently and with a team
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays)
- Capable of climbing ladders
- Able to lift/move merchandise up to 40 pounds
