Job Summary
Target Security Specialist responsible for asset protection, crisis response, and security operations within a Target store. Responsibilities include de-escalation, using video surveillance, documenting incidents in the case management system, conducting merchandise theft recoveries, performing front-end loss prevention tasks, maintaining safe and secure store conditions, and promoting a culture of safety and ethical conduct. Requires a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays), strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to AP policies and safety procedures. Prioritizes guest and team member safety while leveraging Target’s security tools and processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
