Job Summary
Target Security Specialist responsible for protecting guests, team members, and assets by employing intelligence-led security practices, crisis response, and de-escalation. Duties include responding to security incidents, documenting cases in the case management system, conducting merchandise theft recoveries, preventing shortages at the front of store, using Target's video surveillance system, and maintaining a safe, compliant environment while adapting to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Effective communication skills
- Work both independently and with a team
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Capable of climbing ladders
- Ability to apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
