Job Summary
Target Security Specialist responsible for protecting guests, team members, and assets through intelligence-led security, crisis response, de-escalation, and adherence to AP policies. Responsibilities include incident documentation in case management systems, executing theft-prevention procedures, operating Target's video surveillance, conducting merchandise receipt checks, and fostering a safe and welcoming store environment while collaborating with peers and store leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Capable of lifting and moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to safety and compliance
- Previous security/loss prevention or customer service experience preferred
