Job Summary
Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and team members at a Target store, leading physical security and shortage prevention efforts. Responsibilities include engaging guests and teammates on the sales floor, responding to security incidents, documenting cases in AP systems, utilizing Target's video surveillance system, conducting merchandise protection and audit activities, training team members on shortage focus areas, executing shortage action plans, and maintaining a safe, clean store while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key skills include crisis response, de-escalation, incident documentation, video surveillance operation, teamwork, adaptability to technology, and flexible scheduling. All duties align with AP policies and leadership guidance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Effective communication skills
- Work both independently and with a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Climb up and down ladders
- Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays)
