Job Summary

Operate fleshing and shaving machines to process animal hides, controlling thickness and ensuring uniform shaving across fox, wolf, bear, beaver, and other species. Perform machine setup, minor repairs, and blade sharpening while feeding materials through the production line. Inspect hides and finished products for quality standards, investigate stoppages, and assist in troubleshooting. Transport fibers and hides between areas, maintain cleanliness, and train support staff as needed. Requires minimum secondary education, three years of tannery experience, and English proficiency. Full-time overseas role in Canada with CAD $36 per hour, involving physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced, noisy environment with dust exposure.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum secondary school education
  • Minimum 3 years (36 months) of relevant experience in tannery / hide processing / machine operation
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
  • English proficiency
  • Location: Canada (Candidates must be willing to relocate to Canada)
