Job Summary
Operate a Class A tanker truck transporting cement from supply terminals to SRM Concrete plants, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Accurately complete logbooks and delivery documentation per DOT regulations while communicating proactively with dispatch for route instructions. Ensure secure loading and unloading of materials, follow established schedules, and provide professional customer service at delivery sites. Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, or damage. Requires a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, current DOT medical card, and minimum two years of experience. Offers consistent local or regional routes with no Sunday work, hourly pay with overtime after eight hours, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k match.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks
- Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers
- Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings
