Job Summary
Tank Lead oversees daily welding and fabrication operations for tank production, leading and developing a team of welders and fabricators to meet production goals. Responsibilities include scheduling and prioritizing tasks, performing complex welds and quality inspections, training and mentoring junior staff, ensuring safety and compliance, developing SOPs for the tank area, and coordinating with other departments to align production schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial welding/fabrication experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, welding techniques, and inspection standards
- Experience in a production or metal fabrication environment preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to welding and tank operations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
