Job Summary

Tank Wash Technician responsible for cleaning hazardous, non-hazardous, and food-grade tanker trailers, on-site remediation, equipment de-contamination, and handling of hazardous materials. Operates light and heavy equipment (pumps, compressors, boilers, bobcats, forklift), uses pressure washers, ensures health and safety compliance, wears PPE, assists in field sampling and meter calibration, and performs additional duties as assigned. Reports to Tank Wash Manager; emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance (DOT, EPA, waste codes/LDR), and customer-service minded operations within a large network of terminals and tank wash facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Six or more months industry-related experience
  • Preferred: confined space entry (CSE) training
  • Preferred: DOT regulations knowledge
  • Preferred: EPA waste codes, manifesting and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR)
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to complete computer module safety training program including on the job training
  • Solid communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be 18 years or older
